Texas Municipal Tree Definitions

Weed

 

Addison

means grass, weed, or brush in excess of 12 inches, but not cultivated vegetation or crops.

 

Forest Hill

means all rank and uncultivated vegetable growth or matter which has grown to more than 12 inches in height, or which, regardless of height, is liable to become an unwholesome or a decaying mass or breeding place for mosquitoes or vermin.

 

Gainsville

shall mean vegetation that because of its height is objectionable, unsightly or unsanitary, but excluding: Shrubs, bushes and trees;
Cultivated flowers; and Cultivated crops.

 

Little Elm

vegetation that because of its height is objectionable, unsightly or unsanitary; this term specifically excludes ornamental grasses, shrubs, bushes and trees, cultivated flowers and cultivated crops.

 

Mission

means all rank and uncultivated vegetation, grass or plant matter which has grown to more than 12 inches in height or which, regardless of height, is liable to produce an unhealthy, unsightly, unwholesome, or unsanitary condition or become a harboring place for mosquitoes, vermin, or vectors.

 

Oak Ridge North

means uncultivated vegetable growth or matter, including grasses, which has grown to a height of more than 12 inches, or which, regardless of height, has become an unwholesome or decaying mass or breeding place for mosquitoes or vermin.

damage to the exterior of trunks, limbs and root systems of oak trees that expose sapwood.
