Grading

 

Denton

means the mechanical or physical act of disturbing, moving, removing, transferring, or redistributing soil or earthen surfaces.

 

Lancaster

any changes in ground level or soil compaction within the area just beyond the spread of the branches will damage the roots.

 

North Richland Hills

means the movement of dirt, topsoil, grass, native material, bushes, trees, landscaping or other forms of surface material which will result in a long term difference of six inches or greater from the initial elevation.

 

Groundcover

 

Baytown

means a spreading plant including sods and grasses less than 18 inches in height that may be used for erosion control.

 

Burleson

consists of low-growing, dense-spreading plants typically planted from containers.

 

Cleveland

means a spreading plant, including sods and grasses less than 18 inches in height, used for erosion control.

 

Dallas

means natural mulch, or plants of a species that normally reach a height of less than three feet upon maturity, installed in such a manner so as to form a continuous cover over the ground.

 

Denton

means low growing plants, vines, or grasses that form dense, extensive growth, and have a positive effect against soil erosion and soil moisture loss.

 

Duncanville

natural mulch or plants of species that normally reach a height of less than three feet upon maturity, installed in such a manner so as to form a continuous cover over the ground.

 

Hidalgo

means low-growing plants planted in such a manner as to form a continuous cover over the ground, such as liriope, low-growing varieties of honeysuckle, confederate jasmine, English ivy or others.

 

Jersey Village

a spreading plant including sods and grasses with a mature height of less than 18 inches in height.

 

Lake Jackson

means no minimum size is required but the planting is to be done so as to develop full coverage within eighteen (18) months.

 

Little Elm

low growing plants, deciduous or evergreen species that cover the ground, used instead of turf. Plants that generally do not exceed 18 inches in height are classified as groundcover.

 

McAllen

means low growing plants planted in such a manner as to form a continuous cover over the ground, such as liriope, low growing varieties of honeysuckle, confederate jasmine, English ivy or others.

 

Pharr

means low growing plants planted in such a manner as to form a continuous cover over the ground, such as liriope, low growing varieties of honeysuckle, confederate jasmine, English ivy or others.

 

Port Aransas

plant material of a species which normally attains a height of less than two (2) feet at maturity or can be maintained at that height, installed in such a manner to provide continuous cover over the ground.

 

Rockwall

means natural mulch or plants of species which normally reach a height of less than two (2) feet upon maturity, installed in such a manner so as to form a continuous cover over the ground.

 

Sealy

no minimum size shall be required, but the planting is to be performed so as to develop full coverage within 18 months.

 

Texarkana

means types of plant material used to cover the soil, which can be seeded, sodded, hydro-mulched, or planted as individual plants (groundcover). Area must be completely covered within four (4) weeks after planting. (fifty (50) sq. ft. min.)

 

Tomball

no minimum size is required but the planting is to be done so as to develop full coverage within 18 months.
